Abstract

A kárpátaljai magyarság számára a kishatárforgalom kiemelt fontosságal bírt. Sokaknak a kapcsolattartás mellett a megélhetés egyik forrását is jelentette. A kishatárforgalom komplex kapcsolati formákat hozott létre a határ mentén élők körében, melyben a magyarság vagy a magyar nyelv tudása sokkal inkább volt gazdasági, mint etnikai vagy akár magyarságpolitikai tényező. A tanulmányban a szovjet–magyar kishatárforgalmi egyezmény hatásait kívánom bemutatni

Abstract.Local border traffic and the opportunity to cross the border at all have been of a significant importance for the Hungarians of Transcarpathia both in the past and nowadays, as it means not only keeping in touch for many of them, but one of the sources of livelihood as well. Local border traffic has produced complex connections of the people living along the borders that is linked with border-crossing, in which the knowledge of the Hungarian language or being a Hungarian proved to be rather an economic than an ethnic or political factor. In my paper I would like to present the effects of the Soviet-Hungarian agreemant of the local border traffic.
