Graphic Representation of the Traumatized Children’s Feelings

Abstract. While at an older age a repeated trauma destroys the developed personality structure, a trauma experienced by a child distors and disrupts the personality itself. The devorcing or divorced parents’ children have to cope with a great adaptation task, for they have to find confidence in the surrounding where they have become defenceless. This surrounding can cause such abnormal mental states that terminate the usual ties between body and soul, reality and unreality, knowledge and recollections, thus leading to numerous body and psychological symptoms. As far as the inner side of the children’s personality can be seen on each drawing they make, the emotional fluctuations emerging in trifles after the divorce are reflected in the same way. In the process of analyzing the drawings it is plausible to take into account the expressive intention, whether it describes moving, wehether the reality and the drawing proportion are consistent, whether the children depict reality or reflect the fantasy formed in their minds, or even their dreams.Резюме. На підставі дитячого малюнка можна визначити, взаємини дитини з батьками в родині та з однолітками в дитячому садку. До прийняття дитини на навчання до школи, педагоги і психологи просять її намалювати традиційні тести: “Моя родина”, “БДЛ” (будинок, дерево, людина) та інші. За допомогою малюнків можна досліджувати особистість, більше довідатися про її внутрішній світ.
