Abstract. In the Europe 2020 strategy, one of the goals is to have at least 40% of 30-34–yearolds complete higher education. Reducing dropout and increasing completion rates in higher education is one of the key strategies for achieving this goal, which is regarded as crucial for creating the high-level skills that Europe’s knowledge-intensive economic sectors need as well as for Europe’s capacity to innovate and foster productivity and social justice. In recent years, activities of evaluation have spread within higher education, individual institutions and their sub-units are expected and expect themselves to be more «accountable», and attention has increased to get to know the «impact» and «outcome» of the key processes of teaching, learning and research. Hence, the process of «internationalisation» seems to be bound to be accompanied as well with a growing interest of its impact. The relevant literature clearly argues that international student mobility has a positive effect both on academic and professional effectiveness of students.
