Анотація

Abstract. The rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies leads to the emergence of new challenges and opportunities not only in the field of information technology, but also in such applied areas as water resources monitoring. Artificial intelligence can be used to search and aggregate data for literature reviews, select methods for analyzing water samples, etc. [1]. The use of artificial intelligence can help reduce the labor intensity of research by delegating some of the researcher’s tasks to artificial intelligence, and as a result, make research cheaper. This is especially relevant in times of war, when Ukraine’s ecosystems have suffered significant pollution and funding is extremely limited [2, 3]. ChatGPT is one of the large language models, which can be simply used for literature search and methods selection [4]. Although using of ChatGPT is simple and fast, this model has a significant drawback, namely the ability to "hallucinate" by creating non-existent facts [5]. We used ChatGPT-4o mini to test the ChatGPT’s ability to search for methods for analyzing seawater samples [6].
